The Tokyo Skytree is a communications tower, and is the tallest structure in Japan. When its construction completed in May 2012, it was the second tallest building in the world. The tower looks amazing at night illuminated against the night sky. This watercolour painting shows the Tokyo Skytree from Asakusa, one of the oldest areas of Tokyo. Neon signs glow in the dark, as a bus travels past some parked cars. The tower lights are glittering like stars in the background, as they transition in varying patterns around the tower.
